IEA (Inner Ear Audio), an independently owned and operated site, was founded and incorporated in 2002 in Baltimore, Maryland by Jason Brightwell, a simple man with a simple plan: To create a one-stop Internet site promoting the culture and perseverance of independent music in all of its forms.
Jason strived to create a website that paid tribute to the independent scene and was all about bringing together fans of the same music and movie genres and spread the culture to young and old alike.
In Do-It-Yourself fashion, Jason spent countless days and nights building this website from scratch and canvassing the industry striking deals with multiple distributors to have his vision realized…
Five years later, Inner Ear Audio, through multiple strategic deals with well-known and respected distribution channels, is able to provide the best quality independent, underground, alternative, classic, and punk merchandise that’s hard to find today in general stores and even on many websites. And it’s able to do so without emptying your pockets.
